![]() Beneath the iconic Montblanc emblem that graces each of its designs lies a translucent blue dome that calls to mind nothing so much as planet Earth rising gracefully above the lunar horizon. The true pièce de résistance of its design, though, lies in its cap-top dome. Here, the polished platinum-coated cap and barrel represent the astronaut, while the angled clip cover and dome are reminiscent of a space rocket. Available in ballpoint, fineliner and fountain-nib versions, they all pay homage to the intense experience of space exploration. In total, 12 new models have been introduced to the StarWalker collection, outfitted in various combinations of steel, steel and black resin, and black resin. Said to be inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and the mystique of space travel, the never-more-appropriately-named StarWalker pens all have a distinctly out-of-this-world aura about them. Hot on the heels of reopening its 1881 Heritage flagship store and launching the 1858 watch collection, luxury German brand Montblanc unveiled the latest writing instruments in its StarWalker collection last week. ![]()
